Idea Institute’s annual multilingual picture-book project, which we began in 1997, is now in its twenty-ninth year.
The theme of this year’s picture book is Japanese kitchen implements. Many of the unique utensils essential to Japanese cuisine are handcrafted by artisans, and there are even people from other countries who come all the way to Japan to buy them.
Through illustrations and text, we invite readers to step into the culinary world created by these small implements within the narrow confines of the kitchen.
The book’s content is presented in Japanese, English, Korean, and Spanish.
